MCCQE Part I results – fall 2014

January 22, 2016

The Medical Council of Canada (MCC) has completed its investigation into the marking application issues and the impacts on fall 2014 results. Overall, 37 candidates from this session will have a slight score increase ranging from one to four points. Candidate final results (e.g., pass, fail) will not change. The MCC discovered some issues relating to one of the marking applications for the clinical decision making component (CDM) of the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) Part I. The issues arose in very specific circumstances for write-in CDM questions. The marking application has been in use for each MCCQE Part I administration since fall 2014. Following 2015 result releases, the MCC’s internal team investigated the impacts for the fall 2014 session. The MCC has communicated with all fall 2014 MCCQE Part I candidates who will see a change in total score. These candidates will receive their updated results documents by Jan. 22, 2016. We sincerely regret this incident. If you are a fall 2014 MCCQE Part I candidate and have a question about your results on the examination, we encourage you to send a message through your physiciansapply.ca account.
