In the spirit of Dr. Bowmer’s advocacy work, this award is given to one medical student and one resident who have demonstrated leadership in social accountability within the schools of medicine in Canada.
In support of Dr. Dauphinee’s commitment to learning, this award is given to one medical student and one resident who have demonstrated excellence in medical education and assessment within the schools of medicine in Canada.
Awarded to an individual or group who demonstrate sustained excellence in Canadian health care and/or health care research. This award is unique as it recognizes a broad range of health disciplines.
Presented to a Medical Council of Canada (MCC) Council, staff, or committee member, past or present, or to a person whose collaboration has contributed in an extraordinary manner to the mission and vision of the MCC. The recipient embodies an unwavering commitment to the objectives and principles of council.
Supports a principal investigator with the financial resources required to further complete their medical assessment research while promoting the MCC’s vision of ensuring that physicians have the competencies to support safe, accessible health care in Canada. The Research in Clinical Assessment grant is a single-year curiosity-driven grant that can be provided up to a value of $37,500.
