March 2022 NAC Examination application is now open

We are pleased to confirm that, beginning November 9, 2021, the Medical Council of Canada (MCC) will open registration for an in-person delivery of the National Assessment Collaboration (NAC) Examination.

The MCC plans to offer the exam the weekend of March 5, 2022 at various examination centres across Canada. Application for this session can be completed through your physiciansapply.ca account and will close on December 2, 2021 at 11:59 p.m., Eastern Time (ET).

Exam results will be available in time to meet the next CaRMS R-1 Main Residency Match deadline. To obtain information on the NAC Examination and the 2023 CaRMS R-1 Main Residency Match, please consult our Application and eligibility web page.

The NAC Examination can be taken at any available examination centre and will be accepted by residency program directors regardless of where the exam took place. You do not have to take the exam in the province in which you will apply for residency.
