The Medical Council of Canada (MCC) Council and leadership team look forward to hosting this year’s Annual Meeting in our own space, the MCC building, in Ottawa. Our new Strategic Plan will inform this year’s discussions.

The Strategic Plan reinforces our commitment to serve and support regulation and licensure, to ultimately safely bring more physicians to patients in Canada. The plan’s objectives emphasize the importance of evolving our program of assessment, better supporting international medical graduates on established and new routes to medicine, as well as managing physician practice data for improved physician mobility and human resource planning.

Format

On Monday, September 23, 2024, the 2024 Annual Meeting schedule includes our Council meeting and a meeting of the National Registry of Physicians Data Governance Advisory Committee (NRPDGAC). Please note that these meetings are open to Council and committee members only. That evening, we welcome all guests to join us for our Awards Dinner to recognize our 2024 MCC Award recipients.

On September 24, 2024, attendees will hear from interesting and thought-provoking speakers during our plenary sessions and participate in three workshop sessions related to topical themes found in our 2024 Strategic Plan.
