September 2024 NAC Examination application is now open

We are pleased to confirm that, beginning today, May 7, 2024, the Medical Council of Canada (MCC) has opened registration for an in-person delivery of the National Assessment Collaboration (NAC) Examination.

The MCC plans to offer the exam on September 7 and 8, 2024, at various examination centres across Canada. Application for this session can be completed through your physiciansapply.ca account and will close on May 29, 2024, at 11:59 p.m., Eastern Time (ET).

Exam results will be available in time to meet the CaRMS R-1 Main Residency Match deadline. To obtain information on the NAC Examination and the CaRMS R-1 Main Residency Match, please click here.

The NAC Examination is standardized across all available examination centres and will be accepted by residency program directors regardless of where the exam took place. You do not have to take the exam in the province in which you will apply for residency.

If you are applying as an international medical student, please have the Student attestation form completed by your medical school. You will be required to upload the completed form when submitting your exam application.
