The Medical Council of Canada (MCC) is pleased to announce the release of new, free preparation resources for the Therapeutics Decision-Making (TDM) Examination. These resources are designed to help internationally trained candidates better understand the examination and prepare with greater confidence.
The TDM Examination assesses therapeutic knowledge and clinical decision-making at the level expected of a family physician practising independently and safely in Canada. It evaluates candidates’ ability to make appropriate pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic management decisions across a range of patient presentations commonly encountered in Canadian family practice. Learn more about the TDM Examination.
The MCC has developed two new tools to support candidates:
No registration or payment is required to access these resources.
These resources reflect the MCC’s ongoing commitment to supporting international medical graduates and internationally trained physicians, in keeping with our strategic plan. By improving access to official examination preparation materials, we aim to help candidates prepare for success as they work toward becoming part of the health care solution for patients in Canada.
