Preparing for the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) is an important step on the path to licensure and the Medical Council of Canada (MCC) recognizes that exam preparation can also be stressful and demanding.
As part of our commitment to supporting candidates and improving access to official exam preparation resources, the MCC will introduce a new Preparatory Examination (PE) form for $1.
The $1 PE will become available the week of July 20, 2026. Candidates considering purchasing preparatory products may wish to consider the timing of their purchase; once a preparatory product has been purchased and access has been granted, no refunds will be applied.
This form will offer a new and unique set of 230 multiple-choice questions. This matches the length of the MCCQE, offering a full exam experience for practice.
The $1 PE will complement the existing suite of MCC preparatory products, which will continue to be available for purchase, offering additional opportunities for practice. There are no repeated questions across the four available forms (this new form, our existing PE form and two PE-Lite forms) or our set of 55 free MCCQE questions, giving you access to up to 745 questions for practice.
