Gordon Giddings

Dr. Gordon Giddings is a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed residency at Western University in Family Medicine and fellowships in Palliative Care at Bruyere Continuing Care (Ottawa) and subspecialty Kidney Palliative Care at the University of Alberta. He was named the Canadian Medical Association Journal’s 10th physician editorial fellow in 2013 and was subsequently appointed Associate Editor in the Research and Practice departments. He is the Clinical Content Editor for Pallium Canada’s Palliative Pocketbook and LEAP (Learning Essential Approaches to Palliative and End-of-Life Care) Workshops. 

Dr. Giddings has had the benefit of international work and served as medical director of Hospice Waikato and Rainbow Place (New Zealand’s only pediatric hospice) between 2014 and 2016. He joined the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta in 2016 and is currently an Assistant Registrar with responsibility for the Accreditation Department.
