Candidates who completed their Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) Part I between August 19 and September 11, 2025, can now view their final result (e.g., pass, fail) and total score through their physiciansapply.ca account. The Statement of Results and Supplemental Information Report will be available online in approximately one week.
In July 2025, the MCC conducted a standard-setting exercise with a panel of 23 practising physicians from across the country to establish a new passing score for the MCCQE Part I. The new score of 439 is reported on a scale ranging from 300 to 600, with a mean of 450 and a standard deviation of 30. This pass score and this scale, approved by the MCC’s Exam Oversight Committee, apply to the 2025 sessions and all subsequent exam sessions.
