Levonne Louie is a board director who has been serving on a number of professional regulatory boards as a Public Member. She has just finished her term (2017-2023) on the Council of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA). She enjoys applying her skill set and her external perspective to help the CPSA protect the public interest and guide the medical profession.
Ms. Louie has been recently appointed as a public member (Lay Bencher) on the Board of the Law Society of Alberta to help regulate the legal profession in the public interest by focusing on governance and adjudication.
Ms. Louie has also served on a number of diverse boards including the Calgary Convention Centre Authority, Alberta Theatre Projects, the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen, and numerous community sports organizations.
She retired from the oil and gas industry with almost 40 years of experience in the energy sector and brings considerable leadership experience to her roles on the boards on which she serves.
She holds a Bachelor of Science, a Bachelor of Commerce, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), all from the University of Calgary. A graduate of the Directors Education Program of the Institute of Corporate Directors, Ms. Louie was granted the ICD.D designation in 2011.
