Practice-ready assessment (PRA) programs are looking for experienced family physicians to become assessors of participating international medical graduates (IMGs). As an assessor, you will supervise and work with candidates in a family practice setting to determine their readiness and qualification for independent practice in the province of assessment. Assessors generally work in a team of two or three assessors to adequately evaluate the candidate’s performance.
Requirements vary across provincial programs and there are different qualifications depending on whether you wish to be designated as a primary or secondary assessor.
More information about each PRA program can be found on their website, including instructions on how to apply to become an assessor.
