Processing of your documents once received

1. Mailed and emailed documents received and opened (up to 1 week)

  • Message then sent to your account
2. Documents scanned into account (up to 1 week)

  • Message then sent to your account
  • If documents are to be translated, they will be sent for translation (up to 2 weeks)
  • Once the documents are translated, a message is sent to your account
3. Documents reviewed by staff (up to 2 weeks)

  • If no errors, the medical credentials are sent to the ECFMG within 1 day of the review
  • If errors, a message is sent to your account with information

The Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) is a service provider that the MCC has contracted for the source verification of international medical credentials. Please note that you cannot communicate directly with the ECFMG regarding source verification statuses. However, we encourage you to contact the MCC.
